Sorry, those aren't facts, those are opinions.  I follow the rules, when I contribute, then change things for myself.  I figure it is the least I can do to help other users get profiles.  When they get them, they can do the same thing...if they so desire.

Unlike you, I don't believe making contributions that follow the rules, and having what I want, are mutually exclusive ideals.

Once again, wrong data as YOU view it, which belongs in YOUR local. that is WHY we have a two layer system, surfeur. You seem unable to grasp that it is impossible to strcuture an Online system that would accomodate the wishes of ALL users in any kind of cost effective way, see Cover Scans for example. Your local is where you take the base data and customize it to YOUR use, you don't impose YOUR prefernces on everyone else, because everyone else is not interested in YOUR view of how things should be, they have their own ideas in that area.. Just as you have yours.

The difference between what Unicus said and you, is that YOU want the world to follow the Rules as you would have them. You aren't interested in following the Rules as they are. And you shout it from the rooftops at the slightest opportunity. The path to all knowledge must pass through surfeur, any other path is not right or acceptable....to YOU.

Unicus, you must have forgotten that Surfeur is perfect.  Just ask him.  If data isn't in the form that suits him, it MUST be wrong.  After all, only he is intelligent enough to discern what is right and what is wrong with the data.  Because he alone has the monopoly on the Truth about these data, if anyone has the temerity to challenge him, he will whine, pout, and claim he is being uhfairly treated.  All I have to say for Mr. Surfeur is, "Boo hoo!"

Please explain me. YOU write : "I contribute, then CHANGE things for myself". If YOU change the data that YOU contributed, I suppose YOU find them better for YOUR local that the one YOU contributed.
This has nothing to do with what I want.

Therein lies your problem, my friend, just as Little Ken said, Unicus and even myself, you refuse to comprehend any data reality save for your own. I understood precisely what Unicus said and meant in his statement. I would love to figure out a way to explain this all to you, I have tried many times and many different ways but you are simply caught up in yourself. I am at a loss.
