I read 'The British Transport Films Collection' to relate to the collection of these films held by the British Film Institute who produce the DVD and own the rights to these films. It does not indicate a speacial version or differentiate between different releases of the same title

It doesn't have to indicate a special version or differentiate between different releases.
It does however indicate a collection of DVDs, in this case 'The British Transport Films Collection' series of DVDs released by the BFI.

I can't help but wonder if we aren't engaged in selective reading of the Rules, which was why i stated the title as i did initially. Like I said I don't think that Martin's idea is unreasonable. But.... this would seem to be an exception to the strict interpretation of the rules, but exceptions as i have discussed many times can be very risky and have far-reaching impact and that I find worrisome.

Judging by some of the votes I saw earlier on the Shrek submission it's clear you're absolutely correct.

Edition: The British Transport Films Collection

This would be totally wrong.  This is not Volume 7 of the title 'The Age of the Train'.

Not sure why, but you seem to be missing the final part of the rule which says, "and collections (for example The Criterion Collection..."  This qualifies as a 'collection'.

Edit:  I see I was a tad late.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
