I will urge this caution. The system is setup and can accomodate those who want parent profiles with huge data listings, though I still can't figure why anybody would want that, and the child Profiles. So it can easily accomodate users such as yourself that want to do each side separately.
What it won't do is accomodate two side A profiles one for you and one for those of that don't want non-existent discs. So don't change the AB sets, simply add the B side data, when you download the data for an AB set. you would for your purposes want to erase the B side data from it, which is easy to do.
