Seriously: it's good to see the poll results indicating that there's some common sense left among the users. 3 to 1. Sounds like consensus to me! | | | Hal |

I think it's odd that a fictional character was given an acting credit to begin with. | | | Chris |

| Posted: | | | | Locally I reversed it. I had Himself acting in both Star Wars and The Replacements. Reversed the entries in both cases. Now Jabba has only one film credit and Himself has none. Thank goodness for cast filtering. Don't worry type A's, I won't submit it. |

Primarily because it makes sense to me. If I cared about trying to fix the credit lookup tool, I would have gone ahead and submitted this. My understanding was that the credit lookup tool weighed the "credited as" form, not the base form. If that's the case, doing a Jabba the Hutt// [Himself] just adds another bogus "credited as" entry for this non-existent person, Himself. Not particularly useful considering that "actor" has 3 pages of credits.
Since I don't bother with the credit lookup tool, it doesn't matter to me how credits appear in the online. | | | Last edited: by mdnitoil |

The some of us have given up on polls, we get tired of covering the same ground over and over and over repetitively. So i would hardly grant a consensus or even what tim called common sense, in fact I would call it exactly the opposite of common sense.

Skip So you prefer it to be "Craig Kilborn [credited as: Himself] - Craig Kilborn"? | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Giving your opinion in the thread if you made the poll could also have that same effect. True, the phrasing of poll questions can easily lead results one way or the other. But I think that the order of answers, and the opinion of the person who starts the poll, don't have that much influence, or just a slight influence, especially if there are other users who express a different point of view in the first posts of the thread. That said, I think that this poll was clear and simple, and both point of views were explained with valid arguments (in this thread and in the thread that originated the question) so that everyone could make up their mind. | | | -- Enry | | | Last edited: by White Pongo, Jr. |

Call ME stupid, but I think it should be "Craig Kilborn - Craig Kilborn." Very tempting... ... but even though the door was left wide open, I shall restrain myself! I have always seen these kind of credits as - Actor name 'Craig Kilborn' - Role Name 'Himself', no matter which way they appear in the credits, although I must admit that I have never quite plucked up the courage to submit anything similar. I think it is common sense to do it this way though. | | | Gavin.

Not about to call you stupid, but this option is most definitely against the Rules, as it is not "exactly as credited". | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |
