| Posted: | | | | Here's another birth year to contribute for future reference:
Birth Year 1983 (IMDB, TV.com & Wikipedia) for Jessica Collins (Natalie Davis in CSI Season 7 Episode 24, CSI Season 8 Episode 1, also regular in short lived series "The Nine") to distinguish her from Jessica Collins - Birth Year 1971 (IMDB, TV.com & Wikipedia) (regular on multiple series including "Big Shots", "Unscripted", & "Tru Calling") |

There is a specific thread for this here . Or better yet, submit them to the Wiki site . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Quote: What really would be helpful would be a way to compare headshots for actors, crew, etc., in your collection and automatically add those who are not in your collection without the comparison process. Unless I'm misunderstanding you, this is already in place. When you import a new file, just select "leave existing" in the drop-down menu. Then only the new pictures are imported, and any headshots for actors whom you already have headshots for are not.
KM Not exactly what I meant. The option I was looking for would automatically add pictures for people who are not in your collection, but would give you the option to compare any new pictures that would change an existing image for someone in your collection. |

When I select Let me Compare it asks me to either accept the new image or keep the existing image of not only actors who are in my collection, but also for actors in the database who are not in my collection. This means that if I select Let me Compare, then I have to sift through hundreds of images for actors who don't exist in my profiles. This is tedious and totally unnecessary if there is an option that would allow a blanket acceptance for new images for actors not in one's profiles and the ability to compare only new images for actors listed in any of my profiles. | | | Last edited: by Antares |

| Posted: | | | | no, you're doing something wrong.
You say it forces you to compare pics for actors not yet in your database. This is technically impossible as there HAS TO be an existing pic to compare to, thus meaning you have those actors in your database.
What you possibly mean is it forces you to compare pics for actors who aren't part of any profile in your owned collection. If that's the case, you need to empty your wishlist (unless those are ok with you) and run the database repair tool, let it deleted all unused cast & crew (make sure to set it to deleted even if there's a pic), and do the headshot import afterwards. | | | - Jan | | | Last edited: by hydr0x |

Or better yet, submit them to the Wiki site . Because several other people were already discussing that general issue here that's why. Rikus posted about BY shortly before me -- look at the other entries! I have now submiited it to the birth year thread as well -- I wasn't aware of that thread. I also didn't know about the "wiki" site and after visiting I still don't know how to create an account to post it there. I'm not an expert on everything DVD profiler so I'm not familiar with every aspect of it. I was trying to offer something beneficial to the group. Brian |

If there wasn't an image for that actor already in your database then how could it compare? The left hand image for the compare is from your existing database, the right hand image is the new one. And you need to select one or the other to continue. | | | Paul |
