| Posted: | | | | The thing that gets me is, is "story created by" the same thing as "story by"? I guess it could be though with a long-running soap opera it's hard to tell. I was wondering whether that might be closer to "created by" but Dan Curtis gets a "Created by" and "Executive Producer" credit so probably not. Confusing, at least to me. Maybe I'm thinking about this too hard. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

The "Story" credit should be OMB and the "Written by" should be Writer. So he should get both. The combination should be Original Material + Writer. I think it would depend on whether there were any other writing credits. If there was a separate "Screenplay" credit, then the "Writer" credit would be inappropriate, since Writer (really 'Written By') means that the same person (or persons) wrote the original story and the screenplay. If you take these separately as "Story Created By" and "Story Written By", I'd say they both get an OMB credit, IMHO. | | | Hal |
