I expect to make my first HD purchases later this year, and I know how I will do them for profiler, at least this users local. But then nearly all of my covers are maintained on a local basis. I don't comprehend why these things always have to be so contentious. It is what it is, if you don't like it that's fine you don't have to, you can always keep it YOUR way locally.

| Posted: | | | | I've had cover scans denied when I cropped out the case borders (not part of the cover art) and put a nice banner on top. But because the actual art itself wasn't a "significant improvement", it was denied. |

| Posted: | | | | I dunno if this is a poll, but keep the HD banners. It already switched from no banners to banners once, and flip flopping like this is ridiculous. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

All my scans where made by me, NOT taken from any website or something like that.
Link top graphic My observation is that the new contribution is superior to the existing one for the following reasons: The new scans are only from the cover itself and not from the complete caseThe new scans better match the original poster colors | | | Martin Zuidervliet

| Posted: | | | | Also, here is the HD-DVD on Amazon.de - as you can see by their image, it's meant to be blue - maybe not as blue as the new scan, but certainly blue! |

| Posted: | | | | As suggested, I'm testing a client-side banner for HD covers that will be optional, and will use user-replaceable graphics. If and when this is implemented, we would set the rule for HD covers to that of standard DVD covers - the insert only and not the case or banner.

But you aren't a screener. Ken explained his reasons for declining the Contribution. And just exactly what doe the Original Poster have to do with anything, it has NOTHING to do with the DVD, it is the Original Poster...whoopeeee! How many time have I seen Hollywood take an Original poster and modify the colors for a DVD....plent of times.

Thoughts? Sounds reasonable and should make both sides happy. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I like Ken's suggestion mainly because I came up with the same one awhile back. I'd be happy to help crop covers down, even if it means downloading a mass of images from the server to manually process. I even came up with some banner graphics here. |

I even came up with some banner graphics here. I liked those. You might want to shoot Ken a PM to see if he likes them as well. No point in duplicating the work if those would work for him. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Thoughts? Great! That's a great option to go, and a very clear statement! All I wanted! Now I'm happy |
