Please forgive me if this was already covered somewhere but, are we just taking people's word on these? I haven't seen any documentation to show that they are correct but maybe I am missing something. I'm only adding names that have already been approved. I hope other people are doing the same! Edit: thanks for the pinning! | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

At the same time Unicus since it's user generated...if 4 people have between them 5 profiles saying Jim and another 3 enter the discussion a few weeks later and prove 10 profiles say it's James...James can easily adjust the list to accommedate the update. The "A List" I don't see being a problem. The fun will start with the rest of them, but once a common "Credited As" name is established things should become easier. On a different note. I would recommend a link to this thread / user built "List of Common Names" via the Contribution Rules pages for people to use as well if only for Reference. Steve |

You still have to document it if you submit it in a contribution on your own. This just serves as a reference so that we can coordinate our choices. You are also free to choose a different name if you disagree. From what you said there, I'd think it would very much make sense if the documentation was shown here as well | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. My reasoning for listing them at the point of contribution is so that we won't have variants pending for 2 days simultaneously where possibly they both get accepted. So far, no declines. Steve I'm worried about the list being too long and hard to read if all of the documentation is in there as well. Maybe we can come up with a hyperlinked version. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | I suppose what we could do is put the documentation in the original post, but when you update the list you only put the name. That way, if someone finds a name they also want to contribute then all they have to do is search the thread for that name. Because it's in the list at the front, they'll know it's there. Do you think that would work? |

| Posted: | | | | wouldn't mind seeing the documentation in this thread as well. Even if you did carry it to the 1st post it wouldn't be too hard to read. The post would get real long though since you can only have on link per line. Hmmm.... you could just put one of the links next to the name (and not the IMDB link ) for a quick check. wouldn't take up that much space Nice to see this got pinned |

| Posted: | | | | Why not just put a link to the contribution notes for the contribution where you introduced the common name? | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity | | | Last edited: by reybr |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Jim, and I've gone and re-edited my original list of names to include links to the contribution notes. If James is able to easily copy & paste that, it sounds like it could be a good way to go. |

Documentation:
NOPAC Talent (Hesseman's booking agency) says "Early in his acting career, he used the alias Don Sturdy."
Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide says 'Howard Hesseman's early credits have sometimes been hard to trace, mainly because he often billed himself as "Don Sturdy."'
www.movies.com says 'Often billed as "Don Sturdy," he performed in various San Francisco, Los Angeles and companies of The Committee through 1976.' | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
