If that is so, I guess it would be the "request" to switch from SORT_NAME to LOC_SORT_NAME to be used in the filter function....? | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) | | | Last edited: by nuoyaxin |

Could also be that is simply a "left over" from when Ken moved the "Sort Title" field to the personalization. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W |

| Posted: | | | | Touti, ya_shin - are either of you guys able to look at the title information for Astrakan's Diamonds are Forever profile? I've checked the profile and he's right - it doesn't matter what you do to the title information (all 3 fields), pressing "J" still takes you to that profile - so obviously there's something in there that's not changing. It would be interesting to know what the SORT_NAME field contains - the one we aren't able to change. |

There's 3 profiles with this UPC in the online db in the following localities United States Canada Korea (I know, probably bootleg) The interesting thing is that the Canadian and Korean profiles have "Diamonds Are Forever" in the SORT_NAME field whereas the United States profile actually contains "James Bond 07: Diamonds Are Forever" | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W |

| Posted: | | | | So if I'm interpreting this right - when the profile was first created, it had a sort title of "James Bond 07", but now that the sort title is a local field only, we can't upload an amendment, so we're pretty much screwed? Sounds like this is less of a feature request and more of a bug report to me. |

Quote: If you look at your field names, you'll see that LOC_SORT_NAME corresponds to 'Sort Title' in your LOCAL database, and it is only used if you make an entry there. Otherwise, it defaults to the same as the NAME field - the 'Title' field. The SORT_NAME, unless I miss my guess, is used by the online to sort your uploaded files, and corresponds to the original entered title.
The search function, as you surmise, does NOT utilize the 'Sort Title' field. Ex: I have the three Matrix movies plus Animatrix, listed as 'Matrix 0' through 'Matrix 3' in my database. A search using Matrix brings up the three movies that have Matrix in the actual title. If I add the number, ie. 'Matrix 2', all the thumbnails for the three movies disappear, and it finds nothing. Tried the same thing with several other sequences like that all with the same result.
