I've seen titles on $9.95 display rack of new /older titles in shrink wrap i.e Scott Ridley's Alien with commentary and extras ( one disc only),, The Pianist upc#824255050524 ( invelos srp is $34.95 ) for $9.95..  , Airplane Don't call me Shirley Ed. also for $9.95..,  So the industry must be slashing the srp prices to either clear out old titles or just to empty out some warehouse space..

BUT I do AGREE that initially these SRP 's are in place as the starting price at the front of a DVD life-cycle, and should stay like that for a couple of reasons.
1. price Insurance for that Day 1 retail price of a title.
2. You can compare the high / low of the srp to view your savings on a second run title.

I doubt it.  But even if they do, he should have the courtesy to say it that way instead of just coming out and telling everybody else they're wrong.

You are wrong. Insurance companies ARE NOT there to pay off claims. That is absurd. Insurance companies are there to REPLACE what you have lost. At a % of the current value. PERIOD. Ask your agent they will tell you that. This is common knowledge. I can't believe that you, the expert on everything, doesn't know this. BTW I'm from the USA. I change flags for s**ts an grins.

Who pays $30 for a DVD? This is the only thing that is wrong with DVD Profiler always as been. SRP price is freaking wack.

Most DVD's are $20 or under.

Most people pay less than full SRP, but why not list the official price? The actual price paid for any given DVD ranges from full list (rarely) to a couple of bucks ($2 US or equiv) in some bargain bin, to a quarter ($.25 US) at a garage sale / swap meet.

Umm, for most DVDs that's true, but I paid more than list price to add a couple of OOPs to my collection.

Seems to me that you could manually edit the SRP to be what you want that field to be then lock the field.

But every time someone makes a change to SRP you get it in the download list. For this reason alone I tend to avoid using it. That leaves only price payed field in personalization which is not enough.
