| Posted: | | | | The only response I have gotten to the support tickets I have sent is that they have been forwarded. I have not received any followup since. |

| Posted: | | | | Two support tickets sent in April were answered and officially closed (we actually got a response to the thread in question as well if I remember correctly... shocking). One I sent in June (June 19th to be exact) is still listed as "In Queue" . Guess four full months isn't enough time to be a$$ed with an answer to a question that's been being asked since before my time around here? | | | The night is calling. Sure, they are doing it for themselves, but they don't have to take the time to upload it. One of the main selling points of Profiler is the amount of data already included (by members). Is it really too much to ask that Invelos take five minutes every now and again to guide people when help is required to help them make their product better? That's all this thread is about. | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

Personally if I have a problem, I post it here. I've gotten quicker response in the forums. Thanks to everyone that has helped me out with contribution ?'s and tech problems. Now Shut the ...k up and play nice. |

| Posted: | | | | ateo> That is one thing this place really has got going for it. No matter how much we all bicker, bitch and moan, at least other members are always more than willing to go that extra mile and help and that is a godsend. No matter how much I have argued with Skip, he has helped me on more than one occassion and same with countless other members. I have had much use out of the add-ons other users have made and had fun experimenting with peoples layouts.
What we do need though, is that when there is a big split in opinion, is for Invelos to chime in. If that were to happen, I imagine things would be more peaceful as people wouldn't get so worked up about such minor things (including myself).
The product is great, the people are (generally) great, but people sometimes interpret things differently and thus guidance from Invelos is needed. I don't agree with the Tron ruling, but you know what? We got one so now there is no needless back and forth and pissing and whining which is great. I changed it locally and locked it. |

Perhaps requests for certain types of information just aren't being responded to. I haven't opened a ticket for rules clarification, so perhaps those don't get answered. --------------- |

I was just kidding around. I think I've gotten more info from the big bitch sessions that I've read, then the quick everyone agrees posts. And I also don't agree with some attitudes but if someone needs a cast or crew name or role from movies I have, I'll pull 'em visual check and give the info. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm of mixed feelings towards this, drifting back-n-forth. Mostly, I agree that the overall support from the Powers that Be is on the lacking side. I can't personally do anything about it and "getting bent" is a waste of time, effort, and energy because it can't actually accomplish anything. I'll occasionally speak my mind as I'm doing here but it tends to be rare as most times as I'm starting to reply, I ask myself if it's really worth it. Most times, the answer is no and I cancel. One reason why I'm posting now is a question popped up in my mind where I asked myself what picture would best describe this thread. The only one I could think of was this one. | Posted: | | | | This why i liked the editor system on spot. It gave experienced contributors the authority to approve contributions to the database, and answer users questions. If it is the intention of Invelos to make this programs database fully reliant on it's user base. And if there level of staff is not sufficient enough to ensure proper management of the database.
Then something like the editor system on spot is a necessity. It's not rocket science just a tiny bit of common sense.

After all they account for about 70% of all contributions. Another 10% add crew group dividers for one person. 10% simply wrong. Btw, why is it still PAL? | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect] |

Btw, why is it still PAL? PAL is an analogue TV code system used for colour televisions. High definition is not. |

We all want the same thing at the end of the day. Sounds like the perfect system for abuse that I ever heard of..."Experienced Contributors" imposing their personal preferences on the database without other users having a say...no thanks. I'll stick to the contribution voting system and screeners here any day thank you . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
