As far as common names are concerned, I could certainly live with treating a TV show's entire run as one title. A *lot* of common name-finding threads would need to be re-checked, but still, I could support that. There has, however, always been a strong desire among the userbase to count each season as a distinct title, and I'm not sure if there's a strong enough consensus to suddenly change that long-standing practice.
