I'm just not willing to give RedFox $100+ for another "lifetime registration" just to have it go away again. I don't copy, rip or burn my blu-rays. All I want to do is play them, mostly to do profiles. Yes, I understand that your version of AnyDVD HD is at end of life, hence doesn't support the disc. I was just pointing out for you and those listening in that the AnyDVD HD software is not defunct if you purchase a license from RedFox instead. I also from my very first reply mentioned DVDFab Passkey, an alternative to AnyDVD HD. If it makes you feel better to go with DVDFab Passkey instead great. Doesn't mean Big Brother and Hollywood won't find a way to shut down DVDFab Passkey as well. It does the same thing as AnyDVD HD does. Be that as it may, I still don't get why you say that PowerDVD "requires" AnyDVD HD or DVDFab Passkey for playback of certain Blu-ray titles. It doesn't. If you need to strip a given Blu-ray down first with one of those applications before it will play in PowerDVD that's a failing of PowerDVD and/or your computer system. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

I for myself owned the SlySoft "Lifetime" License for 8 Months It's a tough pill to swallow. I get it. You naturally have the right to be disappointed. I would be disappointed as well had I only owned my license for 8 months. I wouldn't be fed up though and while disappointed, I wouldn't be disappointed with SlySoft. Anyone who purchases AnyDVD or DVDFab Passkey should know full well they are fringe products to start with subject to legal pressure and possible legal action. You are rolling the dice when purchasing a lifetime license. What happened with SlySoft should be no surprise to anyone. At least they found a way to continue offering the product by reinventing themselves and setting up shop in another country, one that's presently outside the reach of Big Brother and Hollywood. We should be thankful they were able to make that happen. We should be thankful products like these are available to start with. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |

| Posted: | | | | I can't speak exactly to your Power DVD 14 issue, but PDVD16 has no problem with blu-rays on my Win10 computer. I have the LG WH16NS40 player/writer and MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB video card. Been running it for 2 months and all is fine so far.
PDVD16 even plays Shout Factory's Disk 2 of Return of the Living Dead Collector's Edition, which had repeatedly frozen my old separate Sony player which then wouldn't give my disk back. |

| Posted: | | | | one point of interest . .I have my Harddrive as a duel boot .. One side for windows XP and then if i reboot can boot inot windows 10 .. The harddrive shares my video card as well as my Motherboard.,
with that said my windows 10 with powerdvd14 works fine .. does everything it should .. but boot inot windows XP it wil NOT play my bluerays says my set up is not compatible with onboard video card .. The disc ID is read though.. which is fine . .but cannot playback the HIDEF discs.. will playback regular dvds but not Bluerays.. unless I boot into windows 10 ..
