Quote: CLT will not be affected - It may not be affected to you. But there is no valid credit for Chad Dube to be in the database, which is the same database I use, so it affects me. Actually, it doesn't affect anyone as the CLT only counts the 'Credited as' entry.
What I mean is, an entry of 'Chad Dube (C.B.)' will be counted, by the CLT, as 'C.B.'. Under a CLT search, Chat Dube should give a result of "Chad Dube" is credited in the following 0 titles (0 profiles):.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it should be entered that way, only that it won't affect the CLT for anyone.
Invalid BYs don't affect the CLT, but they are still in the database. An incorrect common name that shouldn't be in the database is the same as a invalid BY. I know this might come off as pedantic, but you responded to his claim that the CLT would not be affected. My reply was simply to point out the fact that his statement was true. The fact that it is, in fact, 'bad' data, is something entirely different | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
