My upload has been running for approximately and hour and twenty minutes at this point...

JFTR: I was talking about "some seconds" then compared to "about 15 seconds" now.

Not hours.

It's down from hours to about 15 minutes now. Not sure if that was a twice off (unfortunately yes, it happened twice) or if the performance of this area has been worked on now.

15 minutes still seems like a buttload of time for a collection of about 4000.

Anyone know if that's a normal time to expect now? Have the processes of the performance in this area been completed or still being worked on?
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.

I am around the same number of profiles and took about 15 seconds...  maybe you should upgrade from dial-up?

Kidding of course, could it be a certain profile that it is hanging one?

It's been taking a really long time for awhile now. I don't think it's any single profile, I'm not sure how I'd figure that out.

Anytime I have to renumber my collection (so anytime I add a new profile) and I upload it, it takes FOREVER. If I just make changes to a profile and upload it without having to renumber them, it only takes a little bit (sometimes still gets hung up on the uploading and processing section). So I know it has to do with the fact that I had to renumber my collection... I just think 15 minutes is a little long to have to wait for it to upload when all I did was add one new profile to my collection?

If you renumber your collection, then every profile is changed so in effect you upload your entire collection. No wonder it takes time.

Agreed.

But THAT much time?

Am I the only one who renumbers their collection?

How do you guys sort your collections? Mine is alphabetical, so when I get new profiles I have to renumber them so they appear in the proper order. Does everyone else just leave everything all jumbled in the order purchased?

Nope, I do the same thing. I did re-upload my full re-numbered collection a couple of times yesterday... and one time it was very fast, and the other very ssssssllllllowwwwww.

Downloading profile updates and uploading online collection changes have been taking an inordinate amount of time lately, sometimes timing out.  I'm guessing this is all part of the same issue?

It still seems like it's taking forever to upload/sync collection additions most of the time. Is it still that way for you other guys?

I do not re-upload my full re-numbered collection a couple of times a day, like you.

You're pathetic if I'm honestly not worth your time but you take the time to post two replies. You even took the time to pick and insert an emoticon, boy.

Can't add too much, but my collection (owned/ordered/wish list) is close to 9k and only takes about 30 seconds to upload.

I started to add my collection last night.  I entered the first couple of hundred and clicked add to collection and it started downloading all the info at around 5 KB/s and just kept giving errors and timing out.

A speed test on my connection topped out at around 60 MB/s and my laptop is an i5 with SSD and 8GB of RAM.

Is there some way of improving the download?  I have wasted two hours adding UPCs, only for the connection cause issues and not add to my collection.

I am happy to forward ports or use my hosts file to point at a faster server, etc.

Thaks
