To complete the procedure do the following steps. I am not a programmer, so this is very low tech.

On your memory stick, create a subfolder X:\DVD\Application Data

Now copy the appdata files to your memory stick.
"%APPDATA%\DVD Profiler" to X:\DVD\Application Data\DVD Profiler

Now create a text-file in called profiler.bat containing the following text
xcopy "d:\dvd\application data\dvd profiler" /s/e/y "%APPDATA%\DVD Profiler"
"X:\DVD\DVD Profiler\DVDPRo.exe"
xcopy "%APPDATA%\DVD Profiler" /s/e/y "d:\dvd\application data\dvd profiler"

Now start DVD Profiler using profiler.bat. It will first copy the files from your memory stick to your C-drive. Then start DVD Profiler. Make sure you leave the dos-window running in the background. When you close DVD Profiler, the doswindow will copy the appdata files from your C-drive to your memory stick. Again as previous, replace X with the drive letter of your memory stick.

It isn't fancy programming, but it should work.

This is the first release of this tool. Therefore you should be careful about testing it in your environment before you delete your local (non portable) installation of DVD Profiler. And remember to always make backups.

I should mention that plugins are not supported yet with this tool (and maybe never will).

The portable installation should integrate smoothly into an existing PortableApps system because I have based it on John T. Haller's design and loosely on his examples.

If you're exporting registry information using RegEdit, it's important to note that you only want to export the currently selected branch.  If you do a full export and then import it into another computer, well, let's just say that's a bad thing.

Since I have not got any feedback, I assume that either nobody cares or it works as advertised.
