Martian,

Just to be clear, it is not just 3 pictures

It is a series of images from the scenes removed, including some with the director and others from the shoot.  They actually remind me of what a photographer would shoot while on sight.  These images are set to music.  They are stills to be sure, and not actual footage.

Again, I ask where it is shown in the rules that deleted scenes are required to be video?

Let's assume that instead of pictures that we listen to audio of the deleted scenes. Would these not be deleted scenes?

If we are going to start renaming features that don't exactly match some undefined definition what will be next?

Are photos that are played with music a photo gallery or a featurette?

I'm done here.

As CubbyUps said about the gallery. Another Example, if there is an original piece of music from the film in Extras while showing only some photos during the music plays a music video and it not what is it?

If they include the director, then most definitely production stills.

I have to admit that I am at a loss here.  Deleted Scenes is a well known term and has always meant footage that was cut from the film and I don't need the rules to tell me that.  Checking that box, in this case, just because someone misnamed the feature on the case, to me, makes absolutely zero sense.

This maybe a case where the actual deleted scenes no longer exist. The only thing that exist of the deleted scenes are the stills.

The back cover lists it as deleted scenes and I can only assume so does the disc menu.

The disc producers call them deleted scenes, so why should we change it?

The disc producers call it Full Frame on many movie cases but why do we change it to Pan & Scan?

Not to mention the disc producers who give us wrong region coding, wrong audio tracks, wrong subtitles, wrong running times etc. etc.
