Yupp, it could have.
But actually, what would have been the point of Gerri's post if it really would have meant only unit-crew? The rules already disallow Unit-Crew, so why re-enforce this by chiming into a thread? Especially in a thread on Location-crew? Who knows? I don't like making assumptions. Quoting Lewis_Prothero: Quote:
But this is beginning to spin in circles again ... Nothing I could say or do to make you change your mind.
I don't see any new perspectives coming up and am out of this thread. Change my mind on what? I don't have a horse in this race, in fact I voted Neutral at the time because I wasn't sure. From Gerri's post I do think she was saying No to location crew as well, I can't be 100%. I also don't believe you are looking for other perspectives, you seem to have made up your mind. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry, what I meant wasn't the personal "you", but the general "you". You (personal) were quite clear in not having an opinion, which is OK for me. But I picked your statement to respond to, so I can see why you took this personal. On re-reading my post I, in fact, would interpret it the same way, if I wouldn't know my intentions, so I hope at least my clarification was clear enough. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Addicted2DVD: Quote: And I personally agree with you... but there was a lot of posts afterwards that showed that not all understand it the same way... and the fact that she only mentions Unit Crew (not location Crew) and the fact that she asked if she was missing something don't help that either... so while I agree with you I can see how some would not see it the same way. So I personally think the really get a definitive ruling further clarification is needed to make it so it is undeniable. You are correct, there will always be two camps who will each do what they are going to do...as the poll illustrates. That being the case, there really isn't any point in rehashing all of this. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. No worries, I actually didn't think you meant 'me', and I didn't take it personal. But I think you are casting a wide net. There may be people doing what you describe, questioning the ruling because they didn't like it, but I think they are the minority. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

| Posted: | | | | I myself use to contribute Location crews, but since I was pointed to the thread where Gerri's post was, I have quit contributing them and have removed them from online profiles, but I keep them in my local.
It is another example of a post from Ken or Gerri that is vague and can be interpreted differently by both sides (those that want and those who do not). |

| Posted: | | | | My big issue is;
There are people that are contributing profiles to add location crew, and the profiles are getting accepted.
There are people that are contributing profiles to remove the crew, and they are also getting accepted.
This going back and forth in the online, will not get us anywhere.

| Posted: | | | | The other question.
There is nothing in the rules (AFAIK), concerning "Restoration Crew" or any of the other special crews dedicated for a special release.
Since these typically fall outside of the normal crew listing, and can be classed as a unit (just like a location crew), then why should these also be included.
Or the other. What if the crew is completely divided. And nearly all crew are listed under heading of "USA" Unit or "Main" Unit or any other conceivable naming convention. (Babel or Peacemaker for instance)
Ken needs to chime in. I am not looking for a 1 off decision for any 1 title. |

| Posted: | | | | I see Location Unit crews are still being contributed, even though the useless poll states the opposite.
When it is a location crew for example Calgary Crew, it's is in a grey area. But when it is Hawaii Unit or Chicago Unit it is clearly a Unit crew and should not be contributed or voted yes to. |

and to continue the [obvious sarcasm] probably would take a complete overhaul of the program to edit the rules. |
