At the very least the current Rules for Studios/Media Companies needs some work. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

| Posted: | | | | After the clarifying points that were made in the Orion thread, I have no problem with how it works now. The only method that would be simpler and easier and not require additional research would be to list all studios as they appear in credits order.
Trying to get to the bottom of theatrical distibution is outside the scope of profiling home video releases imho. Localisation of movie distributors is another problem. One studio might release another studio's films abroad and vice versa. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | I would like to see 2 sets of unlimited "studios": one listing all of the company names from the credits (beginning or end) and one listing all of the company names from the packaging (eg. media companies).
And if I'm elected, I promise morebingo for everyone! | | | ...James

I actually wasn't exactly clear on what you were asking, so it's not that I didn't want to understand you. Given the example, however, I think I finally grok. And now I think I understand the question. Looking at it from that standpoint, perhaps it would be difficult to distinguish where one studio would go over another. Perhaps KinoNiki has the right answer, that the simplest, easiest answer would be to list the studios as they appear in credits order. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |
