| | Posted: | | | | Sure, some festivals are market festivals and those are the ones not generally open to the public but the majority of festivals are open to the public and are show films that already have distributors. Festivals are great marketing tools too, not just a place for films to be sold. San Diego Comic Con show movies and they already have distributors, as do the Fangoria festivals, Terracotta Far East, Frightfest, Sundance, SXSW etc etc etc.
I can see both sides, but until I'm told differently by Ken, I'll add the year of it's first theatrical showing, whether in a festival or a wide release. |

| | Posted: | | | | It shouldn't matter if it is only a festival, this earlier date is the one I believe should be the one entered into the database.
The film was seen in a theater by people, I don't care who they are or how many, and therefore its inclusion follows invelos guidelines. |
