A Database Repair does not help when you are confronted with accidentally deleted Cast and Crew info. But it for sure is of great help when some profiles are unwilling to update. So before deleting corrupted profiles try a Database Repair. Especially Mass-Updates (like you had to do) are very likely to cause some trouble. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

When I've been re-adding the missing titles some of them are no longer on the DVD Profiler database so I'll have to leave them off for now |

That would explain why you didn't get a cast/crew update for them. I didn't have the cast and crew for any of my DVDs and when I refreshed all the profiles 12 failed which now appear to now longer exist on the database. Didn't think DVDs would be removed from the database unless there was something blatantly wrong with the profile or the profile went against the rules Quoting DJ Doena: Quote: You can still add them to your local collection, simply enter the UPC an press Add DVD despite the warning that DVDP didn't find it. Must admit I'm fussy when it comes to adding my DVDs, like having the full profile It's just having the time sitting down and going through everything if it's not already on the database. I have done it for 1 DVD in the past but don't fancy doing it for 12 lol |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, but at least you have it listed for the time being.
Care to share the EANs/UPCs of these missing profiles?
When did you add them last?
And have you tried to find them via the Disc ID or simply the Add by Title? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

If I'm still having trouble I'll get back to you if that's ok? They were added ages ago. Have to admit I don't update my profile every time I get a new DVD I tend to wait until I have a few I normally add either by title or by scanning the barcode. Barcode (for me) tends to be hit and miss so I normally add by title. Never tried to add by disc id. |

| Posted: | | | | Having misses on the UPC usually means one of two (or both) things: a) You have a taste in movies that is outside the mainstream in you locality (like collecting Polish movies in the US ) b) You live in one of the smaller localities (you don't have a flag in your profile) where there aren't so many contributors. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I'm in Wales and only have R2 and R1 (and the odd R4) DVDs in my collection I thought it was because I happened to buy one that someone had already created a profile for under a different EAN/UPC so I would use that one instead, which is why I tend now to add by title. Uploaded my collection again (so my online collection would also contain the cast and crew) and for some reason it's now showing the box sets plus the contents of that box set. It's never done that before and I've checked my settings (in DVDP all box sets are collapsed) and can't see anything to change. I'll search the forum as I think I saw a topic on this while searching to see if anyoone had experienced the same problem as me. |

| Posted: | | | | The online collection was never abel to show the box sets the way the offline collection did so there's nothing (technically) wrong here.
If you want to exclude certain profiles from showing online, open the General Info tab and right-click on the hand. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I've never noticed it before so wondered if it was done in an update or if I'd done something inadvertently
I can't see a hand, I can see one on the main screen but it's always greyed out |

| Posted: | | | | That's where I saw it (sorry, first I went in general info by editing the DVD) but it's greyed out on every DVD.
I can right click every other icon (even when greyed out) but I cannot do anything to the hand
Is there something in the settings I have to change or enable to be able to right click on it? |

| Posted: | | | | It's greyed out because you don't have any exclusions set. Normally it should look like this when right-clicked: However, if that doesn't work for any reason, got to ther Personalization screen and do it there: | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Normally it should look like this when right-clicked However, if that doesn't work for any reason, got to ther Personalization screen and do it there I did it slightly differently. Expanded all my box sets, flagged the contents, then clicked on Collection > Flagged > Set Exclusions and chose my options. Never had to that before so bit stumped as to why it's happened now. Nevermind it's sorted now and thanks very much for all your help, greatly aprreciated |
