I don't understand why there are several people voting "Song Writer" when the rules make it clear that none of the episodes (except for possibly the first) may use this as a song credit.

Original Songs, written specifically for the film

"The film", of course, would refer to an episode.

A theme is not written for an episode, it is written for the whole series.

But that still doesn't make it a song writer credit since we have a specific Theme By credit for this purpose.

The initial post with emphasis on TV Shows and Show's Theme was misleading then.

As the initial post was asking about a credit of "Main Title Theme Song Written and Performed By," which is a variation of the Theme by credit, I don't see how it was misleading...unless you are saying that 'theme' and 'theme song' are not the same thing.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
