Quote: Somehow I'm not convinced that amazon.de is a valid source for SRPs. It seems that, unlike amazon.com, amazon.de does not give the 'list price' of the item but, instead, just gives the purchase price. That being the case, they should never be used for SRP. Amazon.com was never a good source as time goes on since they update the list price as the price naturally drops. However, I noticed on some, but not all, DVDs Amazon.com has stopped posting the list price, although they still show it for blu-rays. Example: Stephen King's It | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

I haven't noticed the srp's changing there like amazon, which everyone is correct, re-posts every price drop as if it were the srp all along. Thank you for this information - I've been using it since you posted it. One other site I use, I like it because I can put in the UPC, is: http://dvdlist.kazart.com/ Amazon might not be the most accurate but if the information isn't available elsewhere it is more accurate than $0.00. | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

| Posted: | | | | That's a great site too, which I use as well, Kathy. It's also good when searching for new or discontinued releases, UPCs, etc. They also have downloadable files containing their entire database, weekly changes, or future releases which is great. It also gives the original release dates for the titles and the last time that record in their database was last updated. They too will update the list price when there is a studio price reduction. Such as in this example with As Good As It Gets. They do have a link for titles with scheduled price reductions but I haven't found any info that lists the original list price information and dates of the price drops. Have you? | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |
