Any clues as to how the new casting system will be?
Thanks. This change is for the desktop program and does not affect the contribution evaluation system. Thus far this is the only announced change in version 3.8, with the exception of support for 3D indicators. Much more is coming, but not everything we're working on will make it into 3.8. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

| Posted: | | | | Especially loving the image comparisons, the ability to accept or lock directly from the comparison screen, the highlighted differences in the overview (can't tell you how tired it gets to continually point out something as simple as correcting one word that's mispelled by a single letter, where that word is and what letter was corrected), the unified scrolling and the change in viewing for television shows. Question: Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: birth year stripping What does this entail? Does this mean you'll be able to accept or reject an added or stripped birth year directly from the comparison screen? Won't go into why this would be a huge improvement for me personally, but if this change means the ability to accept or reject and added/removed birth year directly from the comparison screen (as compared to having to go into your cast list locally afterwards and remove it or edit existing actors there), then you're my hero for the day. | | | The night is calling. It's a single checkbox that shows up in the cast section, and one in the crew, when there are added birth years which are not yet used in your local collection. The checkbox strips all newly added birth years for that entry in cast/crew as selected. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Looks good. I take it no new cast/crew system in 3.8 or BY stripping would be unnecessary. |
