| Posted: | | | | I didn't submit the original scans but I did add better ones later.
I can not do reflective scans but if this is the DVD I sent you, and it has a Slip Cover, then I did buy it fairly soon after it was released
I took a peek and the Slip Cover box was ticked 6 months after the initial contribution.
Should the Overview be taken from the Slip Cover that's not in the database or from the Keep Case that is? | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

| Posted: | | | | I heard back from the no voter. They also have the slip cover on theirs... but said they can't look at it as they loaned the DVD out so can't look at the slip cover. | | | Pete |

Even gerri has said that we should describe what we think we hVe improved. But some of us don't resllye pay attention to invelos unless it suits them to do so. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! So you admit that you replaced s rule compliant with one that is not. And replaced the correct overview. Hmmm verrrrry intereting | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | The no voter ended up changing his vote to yes. So it seems this part is settled.
Now another voter seems to think it the quotation marks are the wrong ones. They look right to me. I was going to show the back cover here and copy/paste the overview from the profile here. But the scan really isn't clear enough to do so. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | OK... here is the overview from the slip cover... Here is the overview from Profiler... Is there a problem with the quotation marks (or any other problem you see) with the overview? My main concern here is getting it right. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I don't see aproblem as it exists, Pete, but I could be missing. My concern is changing a compliant profile into non-compliance. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | The Overview you posted is not the one I see on my computer?!?
Here's what I see - I copied and pasted this:
Stanley Kubrick's black comedy classic about an “accidental” nuclear attack received four Oscar nominations* (including Best Picture, 1964). Convinced the Commies want to pollute America's “precious bodily fluids,” a crazed general (Sterling Hayden) orders a nuclear air strike on the U.S.S.R. As his aide, Captain Mandrake (Peter Sellers), scrambles to unlock a recall code to prevent the bombing, the U.S. President (Sellers again) calls a drunken Soviet Premier on the hotline claiming the proposed attack is all a silly mistake, while the President's advisor (an ex-Nazi scientist) Dr. Strangelove (Sellers once more) verifies the existence of a dreaded Doomsday Machine – a retaliatory device designed by the Soviets to end the human race once and for all!
*Best Director (Stanley Kubrick), Best Actor (Peter Sellers), and Best Screenplay Adaptation (Stanley Kubrick and Peter George & Terry Southern).
Why are the apostrophe's different in yours vs. mine?? |

| Posted: | | | | No idea Kathy! have you updated the profile recently? Maybe check to see if the locks are on?
I do see I need to recontribute anyway though. It is missing the register trademark after Oscar.
Hey... maybe it is because I am using an html window for my overviews? And it is a different font? Still though even if it is a different font it shouldn't show completely different types of quotation marks. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I updated it twice before I posted it. Also, when I go in and "fix" the apostrophes, profiler recognizes the changes.
I think I'm going to contribute it with the apostrophe changes just to see what shows up on the voting page. |

| Posted: | | | | Hey Kathy... Here is my full overview window. I like having the title/edition/Original title (when different) in the overview for some reason. | | | Pete |
