This is also rather disastrous if, for some reason, you're forced to restore your local database from a backup. If you've got a "John Doe" and a "John Doe (1964)", the program will join them together into one single "John Doe (1964)" entry, meaning all the work you've done to separate the two is gone. That is the main reason why I have to resort to fake birth years in these situations: I've spent a lot of time researching all this, and I can't afford to lose it all again the minute I have to restore a backup. What also works: If you add Headshots for both variants, the program won't mix them. |
