I give at least 2 retailers, VideoETA & the distributor if one has any profiler info. and the profile is in my ordered list. | Posted: | | | | I don't know about anybody else, I took 70 updates for my collection for the month of January
For February, there are 22 contributions up for vote, and 19 already accepted. (only the 4th)
I don't know how much that equates to, but for me that is a rate of 3% per month or if there are 500k profiles, about 15k per month.
Not Scientific, I know. But (if there are 10 processors) is still 1500 profiles a month..

I find this number hard to believe. And even if it were true, there's still no excuse for generic responses that many times don't even reply. at "10 screeners". | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

| Posted: | | | | Frankly, alien, I don't care what you find hard to believe. Ken told us 30k per month years ago when the db was a lot smaller. You would make a similar remark if Len came and said so himself, what a jerk as usual. If we are dealing with that volume I would say 10 screeners would be the minimum, not unrealistic at all. You just want to whine and throw rocks as usual, and as usual at invelos. Oh well.../ | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | I would suggest that one not take declines personally. The same thing with "no" votes. These are just ways invelos and community have to try and make the database as good as possible.
If there's a problem fix it. Or, if your contribution is correct, resubmit it. A short explanation in your documentation notes should take care of the problem.
As far as declining contributions, I have noticed a significant decline in their numbers over the last year or two.
When I had only a few thousand DVDs I often had dozens of updates to do every day.
Now, my collection is over ten thousand and there are times that I don't even have a single thing to vote on. |

Oh well.../ Speaking of throwing rocks, you accused me in this thread of saying the program is bad (and the way you wrote it makes it sound like repeatedly): Quote: I ask the question I have asked before, if you think it is so terrible then why use it. I asked you to point out any example where I have stated the program is bad. So please, back up your accusation (or do your usual and ignore when people ask you to back up your accusations). |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry sam, I take the attitude that you have brought here from your now deceased predecessor. Many times it looks to me like you and some other of that sites refugees will take advantage of every opportunity to bash invelos or ken and Gerri. Not necessarily the program itself. See both your comments and alien's remarks in this thread for the type of comments you make. These are typical of both of you, pal, Ian reminded of the bash invelos threads you both have participated in ad nauseum and I find them to be repetitive and annoying at the very least. I tried to offer help to the op and both you did nothing of the kind, you simply made your negative remarks as is the norm. Again, sorry but that's what I see. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! | Posted: | | | | 75% of the contributions I see do not add data to the database anymore - they just fiddle around with the linking system (add birth year or remove birth year, add common name or remove common name). | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. But I take it personally when one of my profile is rejected by the screener of my database I don't because declines don't have a personal agenda. All it means is that either the screener or I have made a mistake - easily corrected in both cases. |

| Posted: | | | | And just for you Skip, here is a post I made on the 19th January 2012 when someone posted on a forum about which program to use: Quote: I'm using DVD Profiler which is, to put it straight, ??????? awesome as a programme and you keep your stuff offline aswell as online so you won't lose all your work like we did at Spot. They also have an iPhone programme. They have a small lifetime fee but it is well worth it for the programme... And other people you often accuse of hating Profiler also replied to this person bigging it up. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |
