You do know that you can lock fields to prevent that right?

For example, I also scan a lot of covers at higher resolution & then lock the Covers section of the profile to avoid having them overridden during a profile update.

I don't know how to easily and reliably lock ALL 6324 of my profiles at one time.

whilst in ALL Tab

Shift+Crtl+I
or
Collection>Flags>Invert Flags

then once Flagged

Collection>Flagged>Set Locks

Now I am worried that one day on start up I am going to hit the wrong button on this "NAG" screen and wipe out my customized profiles.

You can rest easy - clicking Yes will not make changes to your database - it only scans for differences and shows you them.

Thanks for your help.

I had tried this several times before and never got it to work.

I tried again after reading your post, still had trouble, so I tried several more times.

I first had to unlock all my profiles, I had to make sure none of the profiles were partially locked, had to get rid of all the grayed check boxes.

Once all the profiles were completely unlocked, I able to select the "Lock Entire DVD" and lock all the profiles.

Thanks, I am glad to hear this, now I won't be worried about the NAG screen.

I still hope we will get a way to turn off the NAG screen sometime in the future.

Just curoius, why wouldn't you like to refresh it?

Because I maintain the data I care about myself and the data I don't care about ... I don't care about. So I rarely do updates at all.

Additionally: The refresh information doesn't seem to be stored in the DB itself. Today I actually refreshed my list but when I copied the DB onto another computer the program still asked me if I want to refresh.

I don't know how, but I've never seen this screen, and I very rarely do a mass update.

edited to add: I just did a mass update just to check the date of the oldest update, and it's from January 27th of this year. So, even though I hadn't done it for over three months, I've never seen this reminder screen.

I don't really know what the purpose of this post is, other than to perhaps alert Ken to a possible bug.

In any case: it should be possible to switch it off. So +1 for the OP's request!
