Ok after I restarted the virus program (with Invelos turned off).,, and then restarted 3.6 I got the same error message .., So I checked the 'task' portion of F Secure and found out of the 'two' dozen programs that were all turned to Allow I found DVD profiler 'blocked' .
So I 'checked to allow' and now have no problems ..
So Yes Check your anti virus program if you have a problem with 3.6 to install/ open ..

| | Posted: | | | | My virus checker, (Trend) asked for permissions to allow the install and the first time the Profiler accessed the internet. I clicked the allow and everything has proceeded okay. Maybe yu need a note in the 'readme'.
I can't remember this on previous of versions beta 3.6, maybe because it isn't now running in parallel. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own.

I AM NOT HAPPY WITH NEW VERSION !!!! Keep in mind that 3.6 is still in beta phase (though late stage and I believe Ken said it is a release candidate). If you provide details on what steps you took during install maybe someone can provide some insight, or perhaps provide info on what you are seeing, how far is it getting, what screens come up, any error messages, etc. Hopefully you have a recent backup for 3.5.1 (should be a first step before upgrading). If so I would uninstall DVD profiler completely. Then reinstall the beta making sure that you have proper permissions, what operating system are you using. You may need to run the install as administrator. the more details you provide the better\more specific help that can be provided. How comfortable with computers are you, can you check the Event Viewer and see if there are any errors associated with DVD Profiler or that occur when you open it and it closes? -Agrare |

Mayby a dutch speaking person can help me !!!! I wasn't saying you don't, I just didn't want to assume you were comfortable getting the information from the event viewer. Perhaps you can provide some of the info I suggested and someone can help. There are dutch speakers here that could maybe help in your native language but your engilish seems good enough to communicate your problem, you just need to provide more info regarding your system setup and the steps you took to install the program -Agrare |
