I didn't say anything about the screeners decisions because I never questioned the quality of your work.  Why would I?  I don't live in France, and I don't see your contributions, so I have no opinion as to the quality.  You, for reasons I do not know, saw an insult where none was intended.  I tried to explain my comment, and apologized for the misunderstanding.  If you don't want to accept that, that is certainly your choice.  But, please, don't try to blame your decision on me.

That is, of course, your choice and there is nothing I can do about it.  As for public vs private, my original comment was in public so my explanation was made in public.  After your above post, I don't think having a conversation in private would have made any difference.  You have decided that my comment was insulting, and nothing I said was going to change that opinion.  That's too bad but, such is life.

I've lost count of the times people in this forum have offended or insulted me...and, while I don't always forget and forgive I sincerely try not to bring the past into the present.

I keep my participation here to a minimum but continue to contribute as much as before (or at least I will when the new Beta gets released!!!).

Also...Surfeur...you and I have had no problems I can think of. But if you cannot accept MadMartian's apology (apologies from people here are very rare in my experience) then I'm not sorry to see you go. If someone has taken the time to apologise (or swallowed their pride to do so) I personally feel it is ungracious to not accept that apology at face value.

I realise it's not popular when this sort of thread appears to say 'not sorry to see you go'; but, to me, it's no different than when someone horrible dies....I don't start saying nice things just because they're dead!

Just accept MadMartian's apology (I have no doubt it's sincere!) and ignore whichever other complete idiots who have upset you.

I would also like to state for the record that I was not comparing Surfeur to the 'horrible dead guy' I mention in my post...merely drawing comparisons to the insincerity that sometimes arises from outsiders in both situations.
