| Posted: | | | | Tried everything and nothing worked.
So, instead I am going to use the Beta version which seems to be working fine.
I have no idea what happened to my 3.5; everything was fine last night! |

Next morning everything was fubar! 3.6 seems to be working fine (except for the bugs already mentioned); so I'll just have to flag everything I work on for contribution later. Thanks for all the help, though, guys. |

| Posted: | | | | Oh boy does this sound frustrating. I can't stand when I don't understand something and this would drive me crazy. I wish I could help. Of course I once moved thousands of books and DVDs to run new speaker wire for my stereo, put everything back and couldn't get my stereo to work. Pulled everything out again to check...nothing. Called an electrician friend who found the problem...it helps to plug the stereo in! |

This does bring up a point: Pantheon's last post had a clue that I had missed before. He is also running 3.6 - perhaps in dual mode? Is it possible that an unforseen interaction happened? Apologies for not going back and verifying that you haven't done this: but maybe wiping all versions of Profiler from your machine, including registry entries and folders (after of course safely stashing your databases elsewhere.). Reboot at least once, and then start back with 3.5. Etc, etc. ... | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! At least that's how I understood it. Actually I was running 3.6 in parallel mode. I'd only opened it a couple of times though. However, when this starting happening I uninstalled 3.6 and deleted the folder etc. Then uninstalled 3.5. Rebooted. Re-installed. Nothing worked. Then I finally reinstalled the Beta and am currently using it. My only concern is that when the Beta gets its final release that I may have the same problems!! I simply can't live without Profiler!!! |

| Posted: | | | | Try creating another user on your computer and run DVDP 3.5 under it to see if it's something tied to your computer profile.
ETA: Just read mediadogg's post below, not gonna post again! Must keep the neat! | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

You may think you "uninstalled" everything, but it smells like vestiges of 3.6 are stll in your registry, hence it is happy, while 3.5 is not. Perhaps a note to Ken for some expert advice on how to truly purge the registry, then try the "new user" advice that the good Dr. just posted. You might also re-read Ken's orginal caveats and tips for installing the Beta. And ... good luck. But for the grace ... it could be any one of us in your shoes!!! (Gee whiz, look at Dr.'s post count: 4,111 and mine is now 1,444 - I hear strange sounds .... but it obviously won't last long - Oh, well he blew it! Ha, it was fun noticing that though ... I should play 5555 in a lottery somewhere. ) | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!!
