| Posted: | | | | I've filled in purchase dates of all DVDs added since I started using Profiler but I have no idea of the dates of the existing ones. As a result, about a 3rd of my collection have purchase dates of around mid July 2007.
I don't bother with price or place of purchase. |

*cough* ^^ *cough* I already said I'm also using the collection numbers as trailer filenames, but I still number them in order of purchase so that's no reason against that. | | | - Jan |

Well I don't find gaps but if they occur because of a sale I do rename my trailers, yes. I have written a Java tool that does this automatically within a few minutes/seconds. | | | - Jan |

The number is unique which allows for hassle free sorting and a couple other things that might run into problems with multiple titles purchased on the same day. Also, the online option only allows sorting by title and by number. Besides, I'm not losing any info or functionality compared to your approach... | | | - Jan |

| Posted: | | | | I use the profile Id for my TV Show trailers (e.g. 7321921228551.5_01.avi). This way I can embed them in a HTML window directly in the program | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
