Surfer - is your collection private?  I noticed that you don't have the icon here in the forums but clicking on the View Collection link on your user profile displays the collection.

I think he did. We can see this behavior in a few places in DVDP too.

I do not share this trail of though, although it doesn't hurt much, it is annoying to have to click on something only to get a message that there isn't anything there. An additional icon to indicate that the online collection is privet wouldn't go a miss.

Thanks, guys, for getting back on topic.

It's quite possible that he's just turned the option on (see my first response directly under the OP).

To Skip: if people make bad changes, let's vote them down rather than spinning conspiracy theories. To the actual topic, yeah, this should be removed or grayed out.

My collection is not private. But my ordered list and wish list are. Still I have turned off the option to display the icon.

Does this mean that the display of the icon has nothing to do with whether it's public or private?  Wouldn't it be reasonable to assume that someone who doesn't want his collection to be public would also not want the icon displayed?

You would assume that but currently no, it's a completely separate option.

I would not keep my collection private.... perhaps ANY contribution from a PRIVATE collection should be banned. I am a big believer sunshine, if you have nothing to hide...

I am also NOT Contributing, Bob. My collection remains private and No Contributing for exact same reasons that I am trying to limit my participation in the forums. Your attack was unnecessary.

I don't think the other thread (Another one bites the dust) was locked just to continue on this one.

I agree, what was the point of that post?
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

And all this post does is bump this back to the top of the "Today's Active Topics" list!

And your post does what exactly?

Maybe I should change my name to Pavlov as well.
