| Posted: | | | | i have downloaded the app, then reinstalled. i am logged in with administrator access during install, it still fails immediately. I do not get far enough to try to download the online collection.
I also downloaded the .exe app to someone else's system and installed it and it ran ok. (i have tried the .exe and .zip on my system - to no avail.) I dont know what else could be remaining on my system to cause an issue. Now the system is so cleaned up, that it works better than ever for all apps - except dvdprofiler.
if there was a debug version i would install it to see what i would get out of VS2005, in hopes that that would shed some light on the issue. Or better yet, maybe a flag to create a log file upon start up with messages to see where it is in its startup process and i would post the mesg's here? The app dies so fast it has to be something at the startup.
And to use proper tense re: my earlier post: i uninstall the app with all 3 boxes checked and after that is done *then* I remove the c:\program file\dvdpro directory to ensure complete removal.
And to answer davidperez, no i am not trying to restore my online database, the app does not get that far. |

| Posted: | | | | roflmao, try this it worked for me. I installed a fresh copy. I added a few fake genres under the "Tools" "Edit Custom Genres" section. I added 4 genrest test1, test2 and so forth. Then I uploaded my online database it worked perfect. I then went back and erased the custom genres. Dont know how this helps but it did. It was what I was reccomended to do when I opened a trouble ticket. Hope this helps. |

| Posted: | | | | i have uninstalled completely, reinstalled either version (.zip and tried the .exe), the app dies within 1 second. there is no chance to do anything to fix anything it just dies. Everything else on system is fine, why would dvdpro just die? |

| Posted: | | | | Hi,
ive also had this problem from day one, i keep getting loads of read/violation errors.
i found a solution however hopefully there will be a bug fix.
On start up hold ctrl, alt, shift (before the actually page loads up)
Doing this loads up the default page then go to your load skin and open what your used to using and you wont get anymore errors.
Good luck |

| Posted: | | | | I tried your temp fix of holding Crtl,Alt,Shift keys at once as program starts up. It dies so fast i missed it the first few times, but then i held the keys while i clicked start, no luck. it still dies... very fast. |
