If you understandably don't want to use CSV-Export for this try Database Query, that plug-in might have a solution for your needs.

It does indeed handle this.  And it does it quite well.  Is there something needed beyond that?

Mark, YOU are THE man!  Nice work my friend.  That "little" plug-in is beautiful.  I can't sing your praises enough.  Excllent work, Mark.  Thanks!

Oh, also, I can confirm it does indeed work with 3.5.1.

Mark:

Is there a way to use operands?  For example, I'd like to be able to run a custom query that says: "Find all profiles where: Aspect Ratio is > 1.85" or "< 2.40", etc.  I don't see a way to do this so far, as it only has a drop down for "equals" and "does not equal".

Thanks,
Tim

You and James are both right actually.  It does work, but it's not been updated for 3.5 yet.  So it doesn't work properly on things like Rating and I would expect it to not be 100% on things like subtitles and other fields that were expanded in the latest release.

You're right, it doesn't handle that.  I'll see about putting that in the next version.

Oops. I didn't know that it worked in 3.5.1. I'm getting the error that "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall?  Database repair?

I guess those would be good places to start.  If you're still having issues, send me a PM.  It's always possible that there's something else going on.  But we'll cross that bridge after you've done the obvious things first.

Thanks, sounds great.  I still really enjoy using your "little" plug-in, but sometimes you just don't realize things you need are missing until a practical situation presents itself.  The other night I was looking for something very specific -- a 1.85 (or 1.78) movie, never watched, etc.  So in this case I couldn't use the DB Query, as far as I can tell, to do multiple filters.  Is there a way to do this?

Perhaps export a flag set (of all 1.85's for example), import it, then continue filtering the current flag set within DP?

There's no way at this point in time to do multiple filters like that in my plug-in.  It's something I'll put some thought into, but I make no promises.

Yep, of course.  In any case, I wish the best, and thanks again.

Thanks to Mithi for the link, and to Mark for the programming.

I didn't previously think I'd need this, but I've been invited to bring some movies around to watch on a great setup, but I'm quite sure the owner of said set-up knows nothing of stretch or how to avoid it, so I'll see if I can find some Anamorphic 1.78 movies to circumvent the issue.

Don't rule out 1.85 movies.  On most sets (assuming your friend isn't using a projector), the overscan on the set hides the minuscule black bars.

Yep, I'd already considered them (I also figured that any stretch would be negligible).  I also have a movie that's marked as 1.77  .  I've saved 1.78 & 1.85 as flagsets.  I don't play with the software enough (and haven't really looked yet), but I'll have to see about combining flagsets and filtering.

Now for the next hurdle... I don't know if their players are unlocked, or even what models they are.
