It's a slow day at work and I know Wiki is not perfect, but just for your own info. I didn;t want to post info out of Wiki though.

This is kind of a morass; I am certainly sympathetic where this is the only credit for special effects, but once you open the door I don't know how you keep the hundreds of visual effects people from Lord of the Rings out.  So I think it has to be read strictly unless we can somehow come up with a workable rule that allows it without opening the floodgates for all sorts of irrelevant VE people.

Well, for a starting point can we all agree when there is only a single person listed in all of the credits for some kind of effects, that this was the effects person?  It's not like there was one guy for one type of effects and another guy for a different type.  I'm talking about just one guy, period.

I appreciate the modern effects-laden film with over a hundred people getting credited, but for older films where a single person is getting the credit, I don't understand the problem.

Actually, LOTR doesn't have all that many. Look at my online. I've already updated all 3 of them with the allowed credits. Prince Caspian, on the other hand has quite a few, and I am not sure I got them all.
