(A text example if this is confusing) Original database download: "Hello. I am new here." Change made, 'Never Contribute' selected: "Hello. I am new to this place." Change made, 'Contribute' selected: "Hi there. I am new to this place."
Would "to this place" shown in green also be included in my submission or would only the "Hi there" change in red be? For the benefit of other new users who may have the same question, I refer to your specific example, if this is for a title which is not in the database, "Hi there. I am new to this place." and every other field in your local profile will be included. As Ken (and others) have pointed out, with a totally new title you don't get to pick and choose which fields in your local profile you can contribute. So whatever is in your local database gets included in the contribution. On the other hand, if there's already a profile in the master database for your title, you get the comparison screen showing what is in the master database ( "Hello. I am new here.") and what is in your local database ( "Hi there. I am new to this place."") You will see a check box which you use to either upload your value or not. Essentially you are replacing one value ( "Hello. I am new here") with another ( "Hi there. I am new to this place."). The value in your "Change made, 'Never Contribute' selected:" goes away when you edit your local profile and isn't saved/remembered anywhere. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
