Coming over from DVDSpot, which handled discs without UPCs differently, has exposed a problem:
Importing a DVD into Profiler with UPC 000000-000000 automatically links it with the cinematic masterpiece "Wet & Eighteen." The problem being that the back cover of that Jury Selection is, shall we say, rather explicit.
HAHAHAHAHA! Sorry, had to laugh. I was wondering how that very title ended up in my collection after a DVDSpot import. I couldn't figure it out, and yes, didn't want my kids stumbling across those images. I meekly deleted it without diving into the mystery. Thanks for clearing it up. DD. |

But it looks like some adult dvd that I've in my library : any chance that this movie was bought at Excalibur Films? Some of their dvd are self press and don't come with an UPC or a real cover : Back cover exemple Safe for work no nudity on it, just didn't want to hurt anyone feeling If it's the case those dvd are not suppose to be in the database. |

| Posted: | | | | Either way, whether the DVD's have UPC/EAN 's or not the rules do specify that you as a user are not allowed to enter fake UPC/EAN 's but to use the Disc ID's in instances where UPC/EAN don't exist.
So therefore the owners of these faked UPC/EAN 's should be made to re-submit their DVD's as per the rules and the faked ones should be removed from the Database.

If it's the case those dvd are not suppose to be in the database. I'm fairly certain the entry that added this title the second time did have a link off to Excalibur films in the submission notes. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Lithurge |

I was going to say as well if you do a 12 digit upc 000000-000000 and get that 'wet and 18' title , just change the location other than USA and it will be cured and fixed.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. And that Terry, would still be against the Rules. If NO UPC/EAN then use the Disc ID to identify the DVD in question, as this is how we ended up with many Bootlegs in the IVS DB in the first place. I still say that the 2 000000-000000's that are in the DB now should be purged any the owner's of these titles should be made to re-submit them by a Legitimate means ie the Disc ID. Steve |

Don't see any issue with that. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |
