Correct me if I am wrong.

Was it not stated somewhere that on a new release DVD, even if you copy cast and crew from an already accepted profile and it contains uncredited, that the uncredited has to be documented in the new release?

On the new release of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (883929004171) BlueRay, I am trying to remove the uncredited because there is not any documentation.

The profile that these credits were taken from (085393746322) did not have any documentation for cast or crew, credited or uncredited.

I would remove them, as I too have recently been using already submitted old profiles for some re-releases. I just viewed the credit list at the end of the film, adjust any credits to match ny copy then removed wholesale all uncredited cast that I found. Why repopulate incorrect data? You are after all supplying a New Profile.

Grandfathered data should NEVER just be copied over to a new Profile without documentation. You were absolutely correct to remove it. Since te ORIGINAL data was from a title released in 2002, it was grandfathered and never documented.

I'll reiterate it here - if the source of the data is not immediately evident, there's no reason to remove uncredited entries.  However, if (for instance), the data is a carbon copy of IMDB or any other third party database, that is enough reason to remove it.  When removing it, be specific in your contribution notes so we don't pass it over.

Third party database data is not allowed because it would be illegal for us to accept it and we respect The rights of those databases.

Uncredited cast is not required to be entered.  Enter uncredited cast only where you can independently identify them and document them.

Uncredited should only be removed where they are a match with a third party database.  Note that they do not have to be an exact match.  If they are a close match with any third party database, and there is no listed justification, it's safe to remove them.

Here's the problem with the third point, Martin. Data particularly (uncredited) data is not a static target. The data could be years old, and what may have once beewn cloned from somewhere else, may be slightly different TODAY, probably not due to changes  at our end but in the other source.
