But I gather that in "Bring It On", "On" is not a preposition? Or as other example "Turn It On", just like "Turn It Off"? Or does the two-letter rule override? Correct. In this case "on" and "off" are not used as prepositions. Isn't the English language fun! | | | Hal |

Isn't the English language fun! "On" is not a preposition, but still only has two letters. But it would be silly to treat it diferently than "Off". Anyway, this thread (for me at least) has solved the problem for the large majority of cases. | | | Hans |

I would amend Hal's post to include capitalizing the first and last word of a title regardless. and also, a single word title is capitalized no matter what that single word is. | | | Last edited: by garmonbozia |

and also, a single word title is capitalized no matter what that single word is. I believe a single word would also be the first word of the title, which is always capitalized. | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | How would you enter The HEART is DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS (actual front cover title) The current profile has The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things I'd like it to be The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things The reason is that Is is not a joining word, neither are Are and Am. But since the cover writes it in lower case, I don't know... | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

I would enter it "The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things" "Is" is a verb. I would enter it as "The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things". | | | ...James
