As an aside, I've also noticed more people saying things like 'thanks' in the comments for yes votes. Angling for positive rep points perhaps? | | | Guns don't kill people. Hammers do. |

I have taken in some cases to apologising for voting no... in a vain attempt to get the contributor not to give me negative reputation votes. It didn't work. At least in these instances you know who gave the bad rep. I guess some folks just can't take rejection. | | | Gavin.

Yes, it's important to give good explanations and reasons why and you are more likely to get a positive than a negative reaction which I have experienced myself too. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

I guess some folks just can't take rejection. Well, I initially gave someone a red arrow for a NO vote to a contribution. Why, you might ask? Because I though that the justification (I really don't like this film) wasn't jutified by the rules. I quickly withdrew my red arrow because I thought I was making too much out of it. I do think it's appropriate to indicate disapproval of frivolous NO votes. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I've got one for voting no on a cover (wrong locality) and immediatly PM the user to explain to him how the system works. He answer that I was right but the vote was not change. Not the end of the world, but clearly a proof (at least for me) that the system doesn't work. Quote: As an aside, I've also noticed more people saying things like 'thanks' in the comments for yes votes. Angling for positive rep points perhaps? I've seen that too before I stop contributing, but it easy to separate those for the sincere one. We know who is polite like that since the beginning (I don't name her, but she know who she is ). By the way do you miss the Maniacs as much as me? Already one week, I need my fix |

| Posted: | | | | I consider red arows for NO-votes on contributions as a badge of honour If the contributor feels better after giving me a revenge-red arrow for a valid NO vote on his contribution...so be it! Sometimes I get greens for NO-votes, sometimes I get reds for NO-votes. My last red one was for a NO vote on the attempt of a contributor to contribute IMDB data | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |
