Voltaire53, that *would* be very frustrating. I'm going to go have a look at the profile for that. I suspect I'll see a number of uncredited entries (but I suppose because of the rules, there wouldn't be any crew, would there?)
FWIW I raised a thread about it and it was (almost unanimously) agreed not to use 'uncredited' for every single entry and that the cast list provided separately in the extras (or online by the official site) was an appropriate 'first source' given the situation. Sounds fair to me. Did your contrib notes include the phrase "NEED TO KNOW"? Quoting Martin_Zuidervliet: Quote: To answer the question of this thread: the backward rolling credits of Se7en. I'm glad it wasn't me. I think I personally would struggle to decide what constituted the order in which people were credited. Have you seen the short all-Shatner parody of this movie? --- I was watching a bunch of short films with some friends tonight, and the credits for Atama-Yama ( Mt. Head) jump around a bit and do the staticky "film-effect" thing. Combined with being hand-written style rather than a typed appearance, I think there'd be a lot of frustrating freeze-framing to enter those credits (although I did notice that in a menu some crew was listed in a typed format). I haven't yet gotten around to looking closely at the credits on my Funky Squad DVD, but I have noticed that during the opening credits, the actors are credited under false names (in keeping with the parody that they're doing). i.e. They're playing actors playing characters in a TV show. I'm pretty sure they're credited by their real names in the end credits, but I'm sure if this were a series like Buffy, Friends or Seinfeld in R1 there'd be a lengthy ping-pong battle ensuing. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | I like to see some "joke" credits occasionally. I think it was in Airplane where the credit read something like "A Tale of Two Cities" written by Charles Dickens. Films with credit rolls like Airplane make me want to watch each line as it rolls past. I used to hate it in the theater when the lights would come up and curtains close long before the copyright line hits the screen. Takes the fun out of going to the theater. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. I mentioned it in another thread, but check out the credits for The Naked Gun Films. One of the credits is for some producers divorce attorney. -Agrare |

| Posted: | | | | I mentioned this in an earlier thread: Jean-Luc Godard's movies The Detective, Made in USA and Contempt have some of the most frustrating credits ever. In these movies the names in the credits are, respectively, 1) firstnamemiddlenamelastname in ONE long name with no spaces, 2) initials only, and 3) spoken by the narrator. |

Aren't all the Fahrenheit 451 cast credits spoken (like example #3) rather than written down (to go along with the theme of the movie)? | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? Nice of you to sort, in ascending order of how annoying they must be. | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | In the short film Atama-Yama (Mt. Head), the hand-written credits shake onscreen and are consistently blurry. I think if/when I get around to doing the credits for The Animation Show: Vol. 1 (which this short is on), I'll be using the credits list featured with each short, in addition to freeze-framing to get the data.
I forget which movie I was watching, but the cast faded in one at a time, and there were several onscreen at once (since I like freezing a block of credits in view).
In one The Goodies episode (I think Movies, the credits move forwards, then backwards, then continue forwards, reverse for a bit, etc. Thank goodness for the pause button! | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |

| Posted: | | | | You should see the creds for The Adventures of Robin Hood: Season 1...talk about inconsistent. No kind of wrtier for the pilot, sometime a Producer, sometimes an EP, sometimes NOT, names are all over the map. Cast order is completely inconsistent. Sometimes the Art Director is the production Designer. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Skip I have actually done the credits for The Adventures of Robin Hood: Season 1 in R2 and can verify the actors credits are a nightmare because they can play multiple roles within an episode and Season 2 which I am doing is also brain teasing. Cheers Kelvin |

| Posted: | | | | No fair, Rutan. I have to wait til some future date for Season 2. What kind of shape is R2 in, R1 could definitely use a serious but unlikely restoration, the basic film stock looks to be in reasonable condition. Clean the dirt and scratches and adjust the brightness and contrast levels.

| Posted: | | | | Over the past few days I've been doing the cast credits for Johnny Bravo: Season 1. Generally three "episodes" share a set of credits. The lead VA generally does 6-8 voices. The roles are split over two lines. Then there are some characters whose names change slightly. e.g. Mae (Margaret) Whitman plays "Little Girl", who is later called "Little Suzy". Fair enough. A bit like The Fonz, she started out as a nothing, and became a key part of the series. Oh, and her middle name is used in the first instance, and later dropped. That's fine by me. "Credited As". e.g. For the same role (often credited as other characters besides) Brenda Vaccaro as: Bunny Bravo (Momma) Mamma Mama (they eventually stuck with this) ...and that's just the tip of the iceberg! I'm glad that's done | | | Adelaide Movie Buffs (info on special screenings, contests, bargains, etc. relevant to Adelaideans... and contests/bargains for other Aussies too!) |
