Quote: It's been a few years, but wasn't there an ON line test for you to enroll in for the 'right' to be able to vote? This 'test or quiz had a series of questions of do and dont's . If this New comer had just completed this test,, wouldn't he remember that we don't allow IMDB credit at all?? Exactly. This is what I remember too. On your first contribution you'd be taken to the rules and then have to take this test before the contribution would be accepted.
Is this no longer the case?
KM I never had to take a test before contributing. I had been visiting the forum, and was aware of the rules before my first contribution though. But as stated, this is not the case. Thats why I suggested (and schultzy said as well) that when you first contribute it just gives a pop up similar to an EULA that you have to check 'I have read the rules' or something along those lines. -Agrare |

| Posted: | | | | I'm sorry, but I think a EULA-like popup wouldn't solve the problem. Many users will click "I agree" without even reading what's in the popup. Who of us can earnestly say they read every single paragraph in a EULA before installing any piece of software?
I would like to see the old IVS test procedure reïnstated, as well as more links to the Contribution Rules. A checklist along the lines of falcon2099's suggestion might help too. |

| Posted: | | | | When was the last time you actually read an EULA? Though maybe a quick pop-up saying something like "Have you read the contribution rules? [Yes] [No]" can't hurt. |

Or maybe to contribute you have to (first time only) check a box that says I have read the contribution rules and agree to contribute according to them. Something like a EULA.
I'd be willing to bet that a lot of these first time contributors with IMDB cast lists aren't even aware of the rules..
-Agrare in the intervocative days there used to be a test which you had to pass in order to contribute. No idea why it was stopped.. Just read to the end of all the comments and I see that others remember this as well. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

| Posted: | | | | I'd rather propose to reinstall the test over here at invelos but forcing users to click through "Yes for sure..." questions or EULAs. The test was nice, didn't hurt and you learned a lot.
Concerning the website, I think the rules are presented prominent enough; everybody who wants to find them, finds them...
