I'm playing devil's advocate here on behalf of potential new contributors so please don't beat me up . why are you picking a fight with R1 users? And after that comment - arseholes to it - it's not my fight so I'll leave you all ping-ponging the data Adios | | | | | | Last edited: by hayley taylor |

| Posted: | | | | Just voted NO on the Species release change. Amazon is the source given for this change but if you look at DVD Empire it shows 4/4/91, that shows you how reliable those dates are. The movie was only made in 1995.

Dirk That's what I call a Prerelease | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

As noted you are in UK RTWO, why are you arguing over R1. If you tell me that R2 titles are released aon thursdays and i can check that quickly, then cool, what do I know from R2 tritles. Sorry I am interested in ACCURATE data not data which we know to be historically incorrect if it is other than Tuesday and NOT made up data from some questionable third party source.
Give me a press release and I'll buy; it anything else, not just NO but Hell NO!!!!!
@ Goblins. wow cool, Species released to DVD not 4 years before the movie but 6 years BEFORE DVD.
It is also NOT the responsibility of voters to try and help the user verify his data, your Vote Notes are NOT part of the permanent record for a title, the ONLY permanent record are the notes of the Contributor.

| Posted: | | | | I saw this happening this morning and began to do some checks on a certain DVD (not sure which it was now). I entered the name of the DVD into Google and then searched out release date of the DVD. I found it at 5 or 6 different sites and there was 3 different dates for its release. I mentioned that in the vote and voted yes ... WHY? ... I don't know. Stupidity I guess. I have since gone back and voted NO on all of the changes he has been trying to make. I wondered about this since, like it has been said in here, that MOST of the DVDs come out on Tuesdays. Can't fault the guy ... I did (and still do) some stupid things in here. He will learn ... hopefully | | | Antec Nine Hundred case, 4GB A-Data DDR2 800 RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz, ASUS P5K-E/WIFI-AP MB, XFX GeForce 8600GT XXX 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 video card, ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink, Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s HDD, Zerodba 620W PSU, LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD with LightScribe SATA, Samsung CDDVDW SH-S203B SATA, Hanns-G HH281 28" monitor, Kodak ESP3250 printer, Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers, Windows 7 Professional |

| Posted: | | | | You are absolutely correct Mark. If you look around on the web you find 3 or more release dates for most of the titles this user is changing. We should leave the release date alone unless we have a reliable source as Skip mentioned, press release or something direct from the distributor.

| Posted: | | | | I noticed this yesterday and voted neutral on all his/her changes while I looked for better sources. Gonna vote no on all of them as they are all not on a Tuesday and do not fall anywhere near a national holiday. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

As noted you are in UK RTWO, why are you arguing over R1. Not trying to start a fight here, but what does it matter where Richie is? How many times have you involved yourself in other regions? How many times have you added DVDs, from other reagions, to your wish list just to vote on them? I know that many of our friends around the world purchase R1 DVDs, so let's not start excluding peeople from discussions simply because of where they live. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Perfectly normal for one who parses down to the word. You miss the bigger pctiure, by trying to focus on the brush strokes.

You miss the bigger pctiure, by trying to focus on the brush strokes. You still have no idea what a parser does, do you? Let me help you...using your own example. You are correct, as a parser I see the brush strokes. However, being a parser does not mean I don't know that those brush strokes, when put together, form a larger picture. As a parser, I can enjoy the subtlety of those strokes as well as the whole picture. Appreciating one does not mean I am blind to the other. A bad assumption on your part. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. | Posted: | | | | God, i can't believe i have to 'splain it to you, Loooocy. Point #1 I was not the first to make the comment, I merely echoed it. Point #2 There are areas as i explained that I do nothave sufficient information to be able to deal with it, such as potential release conventions in UK, if there are any. Point #3 On those rare ocassions when I electronically cross the big pond, it is NOT rock science, I can see quite easily that Cast or crew data is being mishandled or that an Overview on a back cover might be in say Finnish and someone is trying to Contribute ENGLISH. Put your rocks back in your pouch, you don't know or understand enough to use them. Sheeeesh!!!!! Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here
