Skip I would love for someone to explain to me just exactly what is offensive about the above comment.

Don't tell me you got a negative on this one? If the reputation system works properly, those kind of negatives must be removed! I do not know if this was meant as satire or whatever. Not really funny anyway! Quoting Ken: Quote: I'll not divulge the full extent or methods of monitoring lest that be used to bypass it, but I will say that one of our admin reports lets us find vendettas for close monitoring. If you find yourself spending all your negative points on one person, make sure they're warranted because they will be among the first to be scruitinized.

| Posted: | | | | Now, I've noticed a tendency for this thread to get rather silly. Now I do my best to keep things moving along, but I'm not having things getting silly. Those two last sketches I did got very silly indeed, and that last one about the bed was even sillier. Now, nobody likes a good laugh more than I do... except perhaps my wife and some of her friends... oh yes and Captain Johnston. Come to think of it most people like a good laugh more than I do. But that's beside the point. Now, let's have a good clean healthy outdoor thread. Get some air into your lungs. Ten, nine, eight and all that. |

| Posted: | | | | Well, to however cast that vote: “And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.” And with regards to the reputation system in general: “Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help! I'm being repressed!” | | | Lutz |

Skip Absolutely nothing offensive about the comment at all. ESPECIALLY if you've seen the film... | | | Build a man a fire and you keep him warm for a day. Set a man on fire and you keep him warm the rest of his life. |

I could understand someone (not me, BTW) being offended by the Monty Python material. Satire is often offensive to someone -- especially good satire. But that's a different story. I think someone is obviously offended by Skip's mere presence and it wouldn't matter what it was he said to that person. It's clearly a violation of the intent of the reputation system -- and should warrant being temporarily restricted from voting, IMHO. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. | Posted: | | | | And now for something completely different I've edited the profiles cast and up to now the response is quite positive. Thanks to you all for your help and for not taking this too serious (It's Monty Python you know). My question now is: How to credit this? You might want to take a look at that profile as, I believe, these 'joke' credites were included in that one. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Do you have a UPC, please? EDIT: The R1 releases I found don't have the "joke credits" included. So strictly to the rules that would mean the profiles are wrong? I guess the Monty Pythons crew knew about DVDProfiler | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

We had a huge discussion about this, quite some time ago, and the majority felt they should be included. I figured it had already been done. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
