| Posted: | | | | I'm really looking forward to the contribution discussion when it comes to which cover release came earlier. Especially if we start seeing it as a "history of the UPC" as bigdaddyhorse said. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for all the helpful information. I agree that it would be nice to have multiple cover scan options that way, I don't have to worry about rushing to download a copy of a scan contribution that I know might get rejected if I would prefer that scan to be in my local collection. |

| Posted: | | | | Well, Gorham, i have never run into what you described. The CLOSEST I have seen thus far was a few weeks when a title was reelaese with and without slip cover (identical otherwise) BUT each had a its own UPC#, the only oher difference wsa $10 for the slip cover, want to guess what I bought. Typically Hollywood releases the slip covers initially, and then once the slip covers are exhausted they "re-release" the title without the slip at a reduced price.
As for the "history" concept its a nice idea and has been suggested numerous times over the years, but thus far it comes down to Invelos "storage" limitations as it were, every image set takes storage space and thanks to Hollywood's gamesmanship relative to Covers that can get quite extensive. IF, and I haven't seen it yet on ANY title, we ever get a simultaneous release with and without Slip and SAME UPC#, the conclusion would seem to be obvious...first in would be the Winnah!!!!

Skip Sometimes you get the "simultaneous release" with and without slipcovers, just depends on what store you go to really. I saw it a few weeks ago with Planet Terror, BB had slipcovers, Wal-Mart didn't, on release day. Since they're simultaneous, I think the slipcover should get checked. The new holograph slipcovers on the MGM re-issues are going to get confused soon though, I can feel it. Already happened with X-Men 2 and I'm sure soon we'll see Terminator (without all the special features) and Predator, etc. with submissions saying "mine had a slipcover". |

| Posted: | | | | In line with what bigdaddyhorse said, there was a recent contribution for a cover image, where several voters said they bought the disc on release day, yet some bought it with and some without slip cover. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan.
