I thinka better solution would be to bring back the idea of separate links for showing it with adult titles and just make it optional to the adult=true for it to work.  Coem on Ken, if Wally World, every studio is existence, Amazon and every other etailer in existance can let kids see the covers for R-Rated movies, I don't see why you can't.  This is a serious issue that hampers functionality of the program.

ok I think we're stepping too far away from what I was trying to accomplish here in the first place. I understand what was said about not putting the function up at the top with the buttons for Wishlist and stuff like that, it's not the same type of function, and I see that point and I agree. As for using that PHP thingy, I'm not exactly looking for yet another website to send out to people so they have to start checking multiple places to see what I have, also, I'm not in the market for finding a place to actually host a site or files for me. I also know about using the 'Open New Database' and keeping a seperate database for adult titles, which is exactly what I do now, but the problem with that is, I can't upload 2 different databases with the one account. So, lets get back to what I was trying to do and explain in the first place...

I would like to have some type of feature for the online collection, so that all the movies I have stored in my database, can be viewed online, but different people looking at my collection can choose what they would like to view from my collection (example: view adult titles or not, view all titles including adult, or view all titles except adult, or maybe even view JUST adult titles).

So maybe it would be good to have a couple of check mark boxes below the current buttons for Owned, Ordered, Wishlist, etc., and in the check mark boxes, people viewing the list can choose to view Adult titles, or TV Shows for example. If you check multiple boxes, you view everything in my collection from every category checked off.

Basically, I have a lot of people that look at my list. Guys that I work with would appreciate seeing what I have for adult titles, and possibly thats all they might be ineterested in seeing, however, my grandparents I'm sure, would much rather check out my collection without ever seeing an adult title at all.

If you disagree with this, thats fine, but this is something that 'I' would love to see in an upcoming release of the software. I would really like to see a lot more options available for the online collection. I thing the actual software program is awesome, but the online list could use a lot of work, and a lot of much needed browsing features, and search features. Hopefully this explains my preferences better than my first post!

Ken was working on 'Profiler Plus' which was a new version of the online database - which would be an optional extra which people could subscribe to. I have no more idea than this as to what it would include but..

@ pauls42

I understand that 'Profiler Plus' is an option, but from what I've heard/read, it can be complicated to set up and you need a place to host it.

These forums, in my opinion, is to suggest new features that members would like to see in 'THIS' software. I have already paid for this one and I am trying to suggest a feature that me and apparently some others would appreciate seeing in this software.

I've already paid for this program. I don't want to have to get another seperate one, figure it all out, find a place to host it, and start handing out a new URL to people all over again who want to check out my list.

Although I appreciate the feedback, I will wait and hopefully we will see something like this for DVDProfiler.

Thanks!

Paul was talking about an "announced" feature here on this site dubbed "Profiler Plus". This will be hosted by Invelos and settings will be made on this site. An additional fee may or may not be involved. This feature is not yet available.

I believe you are confusing it with phpdvdprofiler, which is a separate PHP program available here and requires you to host it on your own website using PHP and MySQL.

Yes, it may be slightly tedious to set up but at the forum I linked to you could find/get all the help you could possibly need and there is a great tutorial here.

@ ya_shin

Thanks for the clarification. I was mixing it up with the phpdvdprofiler. pauls42, if you're reading this, I appologize.
I will have to check that out (ProfilerPlus) and see if it will meet my needs. Thanks a lot for the suggestion.

Well, unfortunately there is nothing to check out yet. Some possible features have been hinted at in the past, but that is all. No official specs are known yet.
