True, but that doesn't mean it has to make sense - right, Skip? I too find it "messy" looking to have the something like "Computer voice (voice)" - and, for that matter, every single role of an animated film showing "(voice)" at the end. When it's animated, it should be pretty obvious that there is only voice-roles. The microphone idea sounds great! It would provide the necessary clean-up and look a whole lot better while preserving the data for those who need it... | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. | Posted: | | | | If I see a group credit for "Additional Voices" with a list of actors underneath, I have changed the role to "Additional Voice" with the voice checkbox checked for each actor in the list. |

But you never know if that actor provided the voice to more than one character. It's quite normal in animated features that a voice actor plays more than one role | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity |

| Posted: | | | | Not having read all the replies, but I believe Option 1 was either mandated, or at least agreed upon, some time ago. I wasn't a fan at first but now I appreciate it allows (in theory) future collection of useful data on all voice roles simply by using the ticked voice field. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

Thankyou for saying it as I see it also | | | |

| Posted: | | | | I personally always been for option 1. But I would also love to see something like the microphone icon instead of (voice) at the end of the role. If something similar to that could be given to uncredited... even better. Though that would be a hard one to replace where most people would know what it means just by looking at it. | | | Pete |
