| Posted: | | | | Here's another cap of what should be a good use of dividers. It's how The Time Machine is currently set up. |

| Posted: | | | | Also of note is that when you use a header for a section which only contains actor names, no roles, simply use the header for each actor's rolename, like so: One more thing, if you find that a headered section ends only to continue with the cast list in an un-headered section, it's neat and tidy to use a blank divider at that point to signify the break. |

I Agree with you on this, but I have had contributions turned down, these are "Group Headings" I have been told, not divided casts. |

Skip I agree. I tried submitting "The Warriors". It has all the gangs listed by gang name then actors who are members. I got a 14 yes votes and 2 no votes The no votes said: "the cast is not "divided", these are group roles just popped in the disc and checked." "change does not match the credits" It got turned down from from the screeners. I even went to ask in the forums hereand the general consensus (few replies) were this is not the right use. |

I would have commented that the role should be left blank as it's redundent information. But come to think of it, that would also prevent you from seeing the role if you click on them from another profile. Hrm, I wonder how Time Machine is set up. Have to look later. | | | Last edited: by Dr. Killpatient |

| Posted: | | | | IMHO, dividers should only be used for dividing cast lists as in TV series cast lists or for movie box sets that have multiple films on the same side of a disc. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Interesting, since in this thread, you said: " Use of the divider is fine because the film's credits use it...but the roles should not be omitted." All in all, this has now turned out to be another thread about a topic being discussed for the umptieth time. Every single time I look into this forum, I get a feeling of déjà vu. As I see it, we are in desperate need of a system to track forum decisions or, at the very least, a decent search function ! | | | Michael |

| Posted: | | | | yes... opinions do tend to change... personally as of right now I agree with him (8ballMax).
I don't think what we need is some way to track discussions... as the opinions and such can change. I think what we need is to get it all figured out and into the rules where it says one way or the other. | | | Pete |

The second part is another story. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

IMO, what I find more interesting is your need to hunt up old posts/vote notes in an attempt to make a user look bad . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection | | | Last edited: by Bad Father |

Since the dividers have text - doesn't that make them group headers? If it was purely a means of dividing up groups - and was only for that purpose then you wouldn't be able to add text - it would just be a line across the screen. The fact that Ken added the ability to use them as group headers means that we should use them like that. | | | Paul |
