Btw; I've used DVD Profiler since october 2003. If they show without covers in your online collection, there is a good chance that they are not in the master database. Most of the data in your online collection comes from your upload, but the covers come from the master database. If you post the EANs we can help you check for them. pdf | | | Paul Francis San Juan Capistrano, CA, USA |

pdf I'm aware of that new movies that hasn't been accepted to the master db doesn't have cover scans in the "online collection". But these movies isn't new ones. As mentioned before, if I try to add them as a new dvd, they all have bigger sized cover scans available. But my local DVD Profiler can't get them. (I've added 9 EAN's in the bottom of page 1) | | | mvh Ken-Arild Kristiansen webmaster@kak.net http://www.kak.net/ | | | Last edited: by kak |

| Posted: | | | | I suspect that you have a incorrect setting in profiler. I checked the first UPC/EAN supplied by you and it has a high resolution image in the online database.
In DVD Profiler go to Tools ->Options ->Display and under DVD Cover Image Quality, select High Quality.
Then, once again in DVD Profiler, go to Online ->Refresh all images.
Finally, upload you collection to the online again; Online ->DVD Profiler Online and follow the prompts. | | | Last edited: by Telecine |

But I tried to refresh all images, and on the "problem-profiles" I got "Error". I don't know what kind of error og why I got an error. Try deleting them and refreshing them again. If that doesn't work, try a database repair. |

| Posted: | | | | I checked the first two, they are Norway. Have you checked to make sure your current profiles match? (Click DVD, change locality) If they don't match they will be seen as different profiles. | | | Tom. |

| Posted: | | | | I've tried to delete a couple of the cover scans (of the problem-profiles), but I just get the same crappy cover scans again. That's extremely strange, if I add the problem-movie as a new dvd, I get better scans. I've also tried to repair the database, nothing fix the problem! Do I have to delete the problem-profiles and add them again?? | | | mvh Ken-Arild Kristiansen webmaster@kak.net http://www.kak.net/ |

| Posted: | | | | If there's not too many of them, that may be your best option. I've just tried the first 4 in your list and they all have hi-res scans, so I can only think that those profiles have somehow become corrupted in your database. Someone else may have suggested it, I didn't notice, but have you checked to see if somehow the cover scans have been locked on the problem profiles? If they are locked then re-downloading the images wouldn't work as they can't override the lock. |

(Click DVD, change locality) If they don't match they will be seen as different profiles. Another problem-profile is 7041270926150, and that one was "United Kingdom". If I add it as a new DVD I can choose "Norway" or "United Kingdom". When changing to "Norway" and refresh the images, I got a better cover scan. I now noticed that several of the James Bond-movies (all the 9 EAN's is James Bond-movies) is "Denmark". I will try to change them to "Norway". (If I try to add them as new dvd's, I can't choose the locale. I don't know why mine is "Denmark". | | | mvh Ken-Arild Kristiansen webmaster@kak.net http://www.kak.net/ |

| Posted: | | | | I've now changed to the correct "locality" on the problem-profiles, corrected one wrong UPC/EAN and edited and contributed 3 profiles/movies that wasn't in the master db. I'm sure I tried to do the same earlier, but probably rejected. | | | mvh Ken-Arild Kristiansen webmaster@kak.net http://www.kak.net/ |

Tick the "Include cover scans" checkbox when contributing, and then when you're in the contribution screen, simply don't tick any of the checkboxes, just click "submit" at the bottom. Then only your scans will be submitted for evaluation. I've been trying to do this for some profiles I previously submitted that were rejected. I don't see any option to contribute selectively. There's a checkbox for cover scans but not for the rest of the profile. The cover scans I'm trying to contribute are for DVDs that are not in the database so it's not a matter of being rejected because the cover scans are already there. Not sure why my profiles were rejected in the first place, but all I really want is to get the cover scans in there so they'll show up in my online database. |

There has to be a profile - even if just a bare-bones one. You cannot submit cover scans for a non-existing profile. So if it's about having your cover show up in your online collection, you really do need to add the profile, too. I understand that you tried that, but it got declined? Try more extensive notes, or try removing some of the more "difficult" stuff from your profile before contributing (for instance: if you think it got declined because the screeners questioned the source of cast and crew, you might try it without cast and crew). Even if you submit just the basics, at least that way you'll be able to get your cover scans into the database. |
